Your payment is held, not handed over

Payments are processed securely by Stripe under a seller-of-record model. Your money is routed to the seller through Clappe rather than paid directly, so there is always an accountable business — and a clear record — behind every order.

What is covered

  • Items that arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described.
  • Orders that are never delivered.
  • Bookings and services that are not provided as agreed.
  • Disputes you cannot resolve with the seller directly.

How to raise an issue

Open your order using its reference and choose “Message seller”, describe the problem, and say what you would like — a replacement, repair, or refund. Most issues are resolved directly with the seller within a few days.

If a seller does not respond or you cannot reach an agreement, you can escalate an eligible order to Clappe with your order reference and we will help mediate.
